Welcome to Chenango Hills Dairy Goats,
Specializing in breeding the finest Nigerian Dwarfs. Located in the picturesque hills of eastern New York is the farm where we care for our select herd of outstanding Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats. Bred for production, selected for conformation, they excell at both. Beginning with exceptional genetics, we have developed animals with correctness of conformation and both the strength and will to milk. Our show and DHI records and linear appraisal scores speak for themselves.
2011 Linear Appraisal was June 8, 2011.

Dairy Herd Class: Goddess, Gabriella, Trixie, Punkin.
We participate in many ADGA and AGS performance programs, including DHIA testing and Linear Appraisal and as well as showing at local and area shows.
In each of the last 6 years, we have had does in the national
DHIA TOP TEN for production
by ADGA, AGS, or both. We have had more than one doe qualify in five of those years
from a herd which averages only 5 does in milk. In 2007 they were Rosaharn TL Gorda and GCH Doe-Sy-Does Ariel, our two foundation does, from whom ALL our animals are descended. Gorda was then ADGA breed leader for protein in 2008, and she and Goddess made the list again in 2009. In her 2009-2010 lactation, our GCH Chenango-Hills IP Goddess was ADGA breed leader for all three areas for ADGA; milk, butterfat, and protein, while Chenango-Hills Unique, her paternal 1/2 sister and Gorda's daughter, was second in butterfat and protein and fourth in milk.
In the AGS results released in spring of 2012, our doe Chenango Hills P Goddess, 10* D was recognized as Top Ten Breed Leader on DHIA, 1st for milk, fat, AND protein. Chenango-Hills Trixie was 5th in milk, and tied for 3rd in protein. In 2011 we had 4 does in the Top Ten for milk, and the Breed Leader as well as 4 of the top 5 for Fat AND Protein!!
In addition, many of our does on the breed leader lists have either been Permanent Champions or have Linear Appraised Excellent with a 90 mammary score. Also, every doe in the herd made her star as a first freshener. In a herd which averages only 5 does in milk (3 in winter 2011-2012), we have had 6 different animals make TOP TEN in the last 6 years. All our animals are dual registered with both ADGA and AGS. In addition, in 2007, one of our does was selected as the ADGA Spotlight Sale doe for our breed.
Shouldn't you consider adding Chenango-Hills genetics to your herd in 2011?
